If the renewal is not active, KESS3 Slave continues to read and write with the purchased protocols where no renewal-related functions are required.

What the renewal includes
With an active renewal, KESS3 Slave keeps available:
- communication protocol updates within the packages you already own
- Virtual Reading where available (if a protocol requires Virtual Reading and it is not available, the ECU ID is still read and the Master handles the correct solution for the file)
- DTC read/reset
- OBD DataLogger (CAR)* where applicable
- server-assisted services linked to these functions, where required

By connecting KESS3 to the vehicle’s OBD port, you can read available parameters in real time, record them during a test, and review them in the dashboard as graphs.

The 3 renewal categories
KESS3 Slave renewal follows a simple and clear logic, based on three categories.
Early Renewal
Main advantage:
you renew before expiration and do not lose any remaining days. The 12 months start from the current expiration date.
This is the most convenient option: you save compared to standard renewal and avoid any gaps.
Renewal
Logic:
you reactivate services and updates and restart with 12 months from today.
Reactivation
Logic:
you bring the tool back to the right working conditions, return to up-to-date protocols, and restart with 12 months from today.
How to renew
For renewal, the correct path is to go through your Master.
If your Master manages the renewal directly, they can handle it for you. Alternatively, they can act as an intermediary with the dealer.
